A treat of a place unexpectedly discovered on our travels. We had a chunky pie (non chunky not available) despite His Nibs not being a chunky pie fan. Said the meat and pastry were delicious, which is a huge compliment for a non-chunky meat pie person. I needed salad (far too much carb out there when you travel) so had a lovely salad whipped up for me. Thank you, such accommodating owners. A great atmosphere in the seating area - be fun to come back for pizza on our next trip past. Pass GO, collect $200

A MUST stop at...we were going to stop to grab a quick late breakfast at Ampol Foodary we were lucky enough to miss the drive in, so parked down the road, hubby was locking the car and I went ahead and I stopped to look at this place and check out what they had.... BEST idea I had our whole trip it's QUIRKY, ECLECTIC, FUN and inviting, happy place and an awesome egg and bacon roll..... (My only one little fault was my Iced coffee, normally they have ice cream and cream it was just coffee milk n ice, but I'll let that go) Lots of different pies that looked delicious, and lots of other food to check out.... Seating outside in the yard here and everywhere, I must say a trip to the dunny is even worth it....

Stopped here for lunch today. Hubby had a delicious cheese and bacon pie and I had a small beef and coleslaw slider. They come in large and small. Small was plenty for me and it was so good. Dogs and kids are most welcome here with toy trucks and games for the kids and water bowls for dogs. Our dog was even treated to a taste of their beautiful meat. Highly recommended!

Best lunch spot if you’re driving up the coast but don’t want to head off the highway. Proper meat pies with free sauce, smoked burgers are excellent, and a grassy outdoor spot at the back with an old helicopter

I just want to thank Charlie and Rachael for the amazing customer service and hospitality. They went above and beyond to assist us with a runaway dog we found along the M1. Whilst waiting for the owner to arrive, we ordered some food which was AMAZING! Thank you again for you being such lovely people, and if you are driving through, stop and have a meal!! Coolonglook Smokehouse & Pizza was an unexpected gem on our road trip — the perfect roadside find. The rustic setting, complete with unique feature pieces and authentic charm, creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food was exceptional, bursting with flavour, and the wood-fired aroma paired beautifully with the recycled timber furniture to make it feel like more than just a quick meal stop. It’s an experience in itself. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended.
